API 5L Grade B PSL2 is a carbon steel line pipe material conforming to API 5L and ISO 3183 standards. Its minimum yield strength is 35,500 psi (245 MPa), and the minimum tensile strength is not less than 60,200 psi (415 MPa). Compared with ordinary carbon steel bends, the PSL2 grade imposes stricter limits on harmful elements phosphorus and sulfur (P≤0.025%, S≤0.015%), and mandates impact toughness at 0°C (longitudinal ≥41 J, transverse ≥27 J) as well as 100% non‑destructive testing. This significantly reduces the risk of low‑temperature brittle fracture and welding cracks, making it especially suitable for severe service conditions such as high pressure, sour media, cold climates and offshore environments. The design life can reach more than 30 years, providing reliable assurance for project execution.
