About Pipe Fittings Equal Tee
An equal tee is the most common pipe fitting. It is used to either combine or divide a fluid flow. It is a type of pipe fitting that is T-shaped with two outlets at 90° to the connection to the main pipe. It is a short piece of pipe with a lateral outlet. A tee is used to connect pipes of different diameters or to change the direction of a pipe run. They are made from a variety of materials and are available in different sizes and finishes. When we refer to a steel tee as an “equal tee”, it means that the branch diameter of this tee is the same as the main pipe (run pipe) diameter of this tee.
