C&N team visited the site of the RAYIS-RABIGH

Recently, C&N HONGCHENG, as an approved supplier by Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) and Saudi Water Company (SWCC), was invited to visit the site of the RAYIS-RABIGH Independent Water Transmission Pipeline Project (IWTP 02). This project is undertaken by the joint venture (EPC JV) formed by Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies and Tedagua, and it is an important part of Saudi Arabia’s National Water Strategy 2030, aiming to enhance the country’s water supply capacity through private sector participation.

The RAYIS-RABIGH IWTP project is approximately 151 kilometers in length and has a daily water transmission capacity of 500,000 cubic meters. Its main task is to transport water resources from the newly built water tank area in Rayis and the future Rayis 2 seawater desalination plant to the existing water tank area in Rabigh. It also has the function of reverse water transmission to achieve flexible water resource scheduling.

The project is located in the Rayis area of the Bahah region and the Rabigh area of the Makkah region, close to the Red Sea coast. The main facilities are respectively located within the existing Rayis and Rabigh plants of SWCC, and are laid out in coordination with existing and future seawater desalination and water transmission facilities, reflecting the long-term planning of the Saudi government in the integration and optimization of water conservancy infrastructure.

During this on-site visit, the C&N team focused on inspecting the installation conditions and technical requirements of metal pipes and fittings, and had in-depth exchanges with the EPC consortium and project stakeholders. As an important participant in the RFQ package, C&N will continue to provide high-quality pipe products that meet international standards to support the smooth progress of the project.
This project helps relieve the water resource pressure in the central region of Saudi Arabia. The company will continue to leverage its professional expertise and rich experience in metal pipe manufacturing to fully support the smooth progress of the RAYIS-RABIGH IWTP project, and contribute the wisdom and strength of “Made in China” to the construction of water conservancy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East region.
