18 April 2025 – Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has announced the opening of its China office in Beijing to further strengthen its long-standing commercial relationships with Chinese customers and partners. The initiative was a key outcome of a visit to China by Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and High Technology and Managing Director and CEO of ADNOC. Dr Jaber emphasised that the opening of the Beijing office marks a new stage in ADNOC’s cooperation with China in the energy sector, which will open up a wide range of opportunities for Chinese petroleum and petrochemical equipment companies.

ADNOC is the largest state-owned energy company in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with operations in oil and gas exploration and development, refining, LNG production and trading. The company owns about 10% of the world’s oil reserves and aims to increase its crude oil production capacity to 5 million barrels per day (bpd) by 2030 and achieve a 25% reduction in carbon intensity in its low-carbon transition.
ADNOC’s Beijing office will focus on the company’s sales and marketing activities in China, with an emphasis on promoting trade cooperation in liquefied natural gas (LNG), crude oil and petrochemical products. The establishment of ADNOC’s Beijing office opens a new window for Chinese petroleum and petrochemical equipment companies to participate in global energy cooperation.
