Hongcheng Pipe Fittings Limited has launched its API Q1 Quality Management System (QMS) audit, conducted by Intertek, from 3–8 March 2025. This follows a four-month implementation of the API Q1 framework, aligning its steel pipe, fitting, and piping spool manufacturing processes with the stringent requirements of the American Petroleum Institute (API).
Key API Q1 Focus Areas
The audit evaluates Hongcheng’s compliance with API Q1 standards, emphasizing risk management, process control, supplier quality, and traceability. API Q1 certification ensures adherence to global benchmarks for safety and reliability in the oil, gas, and energy sectors.
Scope & Preparation
The company’s upgraded QMS covers design, production, testing, and documentation for its product range. The four-month preparatory phase involved staff training, procedural updates, and internal audits to meet API’s rigorous criteria.
